established in twenty twenty
Five years ago my husband Dan and I moved to an old country farm house in the small village of Skeffling. The house came with some land, so we immersed ourselves in country living, working hard to turn this space into an area for animals and a perfect place for our children to grow up. We now have a menagerie of animals, including our cheeky goats, pigs and a variety of chickens, ducks and geese. It is safe to say we have really embraced country life!
During the first lockdown, we discussed how lucky we were to live in an unspoilt area, with country walks for miles and beautiful sandy beaches to explore – we wanted to share all of this and so the idea for Starlight Hideaway was born.
We have always loved the romance and uniqueness of a shepherd’s hut though owning one seemed an impossible dream. However, the first lockdown gave us a chance to pluck up the courage to do it, take the plunge and make our dream a reality by creating our own luxury holiday stay.
This hut, and everything in it, has been put together with love & care and we have designed the Hideaway as a place that we would love to holiday ourselves. In creating the Starlight Hideaway we are opening up our home and private space to our guests. We hope that you love and respect our home as much as we do and we can’t wait to welcome you here!
